Duncan business leader Rick Braught appointed to OU Board of Regents
A different appointee from Gov. Kevin Stitt comes to the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents from a business enterprise history.
The governor introduced Friday he selected Rick Braught, of Duncan, to fill a vacant seat on OU’s major governing board, which also oversees Cameron University and Rogers Point out University.
Braught is the president of Buyers Have confidence in Co. He has led the Duncan-centered business enterprise given that 1996.
He and his wife, Barbara, also very own The Territory Golfing & Place Club, a golfing training course and residential neighborhood in Duncan.

Braught mentioned he is “honored” to be appointed.

This is Stitt’s next appointment to the OU regents in the earlier month.
The governor chose Inasmuch Basis CEO Bob Ross on March 30 to serve a 7-year term. He succeeded retiring board chairperson Michael Cawley, who opted to step down as soon as his term expired in March.
Pending approval by the condition Senate, Braught would be the most current of Stitt’s appointees to come from a company or finance-associated career, equally to Cawley and regents Eric Stephenson, Anita Holloway and Rick Nagel.
